T3CO represents NREL’s sophisticated open-source commercial vehicle total cost of ownership analysis tool, specifically designed for advanced technology commercial vehicles including electric and fuel cell powertrains. The tool enables levelized assessments of full life cycle costs while accounting for diverse operational patterns across commercial vehicle vocations. T3CO integrates NREL’s FASTSim powertrain simulation and provides optimization capabilities to size vehicle components for minimum cost while meeting performance requirements.
